He has three sisters, Marion Rockefeller Weber, Laura Rockefeller Chasin, and Lucy Aldrich Rockefeller. His patrilineal great-grandfather was Standard Oil's co-founder John D. Rockefeller and his matrilineal great-grandfather was Frederick H. Billings, a president of Northern Pacific Railway.
